Installation

Downloading the Add-In

The Treble Revit Add-In is distributed through the Autodesk App Store. To download the installer:

  1. Visit the Treble Revit Add-In page on the Autodesk App Store
  2. Click the Download button
  3. Save the MSI installer file to your computer

The installer is provided as an MSI (Microsoft Installer) package for single-user installation and does not require administrator privileges.

Installing the Add-In

Before installing the Treble Revit Add-In, make sure Revit is completely closed. The installer cannot complete successfully if Revit is running.

To install the add-in:

  1. Close Revit if it's currently open
  2. Double-click the downloaded MSI installer to launch the installation wizard
  3. Follow the installation prompts:
    • Choose which Revit versions to install the add-in for (2024, 2025, and/or 2026)
    • Select the installation location (default is recommended)
  4. Click Install to begin the installation
  5. Wait for the installation to complete (this typically takes less than a minute)
  6. Click Finish when the installation is complete

The add-in will be installed for the Revit versions you selected and will appear under the Add-Ins tab in Revit the next time you launch it.

Uninstalling the Add-In

If you need to uninstall the Treble Revit Add-In:

  1. Close Revit if it's currently open
  2. Open Windows Settings:
    • On Windows 10: Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
    • On Windows 11: Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
  3. Find "Treble Revit Add-In" in the list of installed applications
  4. Click Uninstall and follow the prompts
  5. Confirm the uninstallation when prompted

Alternatively, you can rerun the MSI installer and select the Uninstall option.

Login & Authentication

Before using the Add-In, you'll need to authenticate with your Treble account.

Authentication Process

When you click the login button in the add-in:

  1. Your default web browser will open to the Treble login page
  2. Enter your Treble account credentials (email and password)
  3. Complete any two-factor authentication if enabled on your account
  4. Authorize the Revit Add-In to access your Treble account (only required the first time you use the add-in)
  5. Return to Revit - the add-in will automatically detect the successful authentication

Active Treble Account Required

You need an active Treble account to use the Revit Add-In. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for a free trial at treble.tech.
