📄️ Installing SketchUp
The Treble main GUI resides in your web-browser (e.g. Chrome) and is “live-linked” to SketchUp via a plug-in (extension) that must be installed in SketchUp. Treble uses the Geometrical entities of the 3D model as input for the simulation and analysis of room acoustics.
📄️ Setting up Treble extension
The Treble main GUI resides in your web-browser (e.g. Chrome) and is “live-linked” to SketchUp via a plug-in (extension) that must be installed in SketchUp.
📄️ Setting up a model for Treble
Treble, in its current version, accepts geometry input (3D models) from SketchUp Pro 2021.1.2 on. In SketchUp you can open existing models, import 3D files from other 3D modelling software or start a new model from scratch.
📄️ Uploading models to Treble
If the geometry check has run successfully, it is possible to click the Upload model button in order to send the model to Treble.
📄️ Fetching models from Treble
If you have already uploaded a model to Treble, you can fetch it in SketchUp from the Treble extension home page by clicking Fetch model. Then select a Project and a Space from the selector menu, and click on the Fetch button which appears when hovering a model.
📄️ Geometry feedback
Making sure that importing geometries is as forgiving yet reliable as possible is one of the core goals of the Treble suite.
📄️ Geometry preparation tips and tricks
From this test case, you can get an idea on how you can simplify your model according to the feedback from the geometry check.
